Love love love this hillside restaurant I came across this beautiful hillside restaurant on the same day we went to visit a UNESCO world heritage site, Prambanan temple, which was located nearby. It was a nice treat to sit back and relax at the restaurant with the most amazing view any visitors could asked for. Overlooking the villages below with vast rice fields and majestic Gunung Merapi, the most active volcano in Indonesia, and a glimpse of the tallest Prambanan temple. Listening to the wonderful songs of singing birds with a backdrop of a distant mosque praying time. The restaurant is surrounded by beautiful garden and birdlife.We came here after spending 2-3 hours exploring the Prambanan temple site. We had a couple of refreshments and a nasi goreng seafood for a light snack. It is not cheap but it’s worth that little bit extra for a nice experience surrounded by beautiful gardens and stunning views. And, the experience of getting there and back by passing through a local village with rice fields on either side of a narrow street. It’s definitely worth making a trip to Abhayagiri restaurant.

Good place to dinner The ambience starting afternoon to night really good. Stunning!! We enjoy the ambience, and its complete by the taste of the food. Really recomended place to having dinner with your college or your partner.

Excellent Traditional Restaurant The Abhagiri is one of the traditional restaurant which have an excellent view, excellent services, excellent taste of food. They staff very fast respon to know how treat the customer.When I came here with my bos (Foreigner) and with my couleges from Regional office ( ASEAN & Oceania). They enjoyed all services from this restaurant.

Excellent food and phenomenal views of the Hindu temple. Wow! So happy we came here to eat. The views are phenomenal of the Hindu temple and the food is excellent. Our server Septi was fantastic! Cappuccino and espresso very good. Worth the time to come here. Xo

Oasis with a beautiful view My host family took us to this restaurant for dinner. It was incredibly relaxing--so peaceful with an incomparable view of the Prambanan, Mount Merapi, and the surrounding fields and trees outside of Yogyakarta. The food was delicious, although I'm sure it was on the expensive side.

Nice restaurant with good food Couldn’t expect such a nice restaurant up there, the atmosphere is just so relaxing. Please make your reservation to sit in the outdoor area with cover, it’s the best area in the restaurant, food is good but price is considered high in the area.

Tasty food with great view The view of the mountain from the restaurant balcony is really impressive. The lunch buffet was quite good, there was a good selection of local food. The staff was smiling and friendly. Can be a great place if you want to have a romantic meal.
